"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013"
Lily: my rapidly growing sunshine.

Harvest: Captain Potbelly.

Henri: little dude rides the sea turtle.

Linen: my heart is so tender towards this spring bud.

Pip: incredibly fixated on this mural. He could barely catch his breath.

Liberty: thankfully this ankle injury was but a sprain. Poor thing, she's been limping around all week :(

Linen: This girl! Her daily growth is ever before me.

Henri: describes his precious car. I haven't even words for my love for this baby boy.

Liberty: made up castles with plots on this beach volleyball court. Her imagination is an incomparable gift.

Lily: her perspective is like of that as a bird.

Pip: hard at work on the strings of his new sneakers.

Harvest: happy to share his toothless grin.

A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013"
Liberty: a typical moment. Despite the snow flurries & coat left at home, my darling must have a turn on the rope swing at our local milk farm.

Henri: entranced by the embers.

Lily: warms herself in the sun.

Linen: plays on the rug with Hen. This simple game of him using her as a human trampoline, sends us into fits of laughter!

Harvest: Can we say ... yet another goofy side. :)

Pip: loves to smile for me :)

Winter Afternoons

Pip: spends the afternoon a soldier off to battle.

Lily: faithfully giving herself to whatever it takes to be in the Chattanooga Symphony.

Harvey: give it up for a true snaggletooth!

Linen: knocks out her 4th grade homework so she can get to her long list of projects.

Liberty: nibbles on an after school snack of rice crackers and Vegemite.

Henri: crankypants just woke up from a long nap.

A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013"

Harvest: sleep settles in after a long birthday weekend.  His pillow was a longawaited gift, found here at "My Bearded Pigeon", what satisfying work, I must say, thanks to Jodi's referal last year.

Pip: tells me of his bucket list. This young dreamer is ready to sail to uncharted territories.

Henri: caught this via Instagram. On our way to Nashville, a checkup at Vanderbilt Hospital, Henri had to make a pit stop at the railroad museum.

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013"
Lily: a glimpse into her prairie girl side. She's most comfortable without a clock in sight.

Linen: hugs herself as we scurry from one cozy nook to another, on our weekend date.

Henri: caught tinkering with big brother's nanoblock creations.

Liberty: my lens snaked around the fallen trees to find this lovely little creature one her own time.

Pip: became the human arrow on the zip line.  He had our attention with, "Watch this!", followed by a draw back and release all afternoon.

Harvest: challenged himself, walking over "huge ravines", until moss covered logs changed from narrow bridges to bareback horses.

Stephen spent his day off yesterday with all of us at a unique playground nestled in a small ravine atop Signal Mt. We picnicked, hiked, and cuddled, soaking in sunlight.

Part Deux 5/52

February 13, 2013

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013"
Liberty: "Bertie", she's called by close friends and family.

Lily: has carried the endearing name, "Peanut", from her pint size of 3 lbs 14 oz, given by the nurses NICU as an infant.

Linen: Tends to go by "Ruthie Bear", recently shortening to Ruthie alone.  She loves to be called that.
